Boutique Travel NZ is a not-for-profit, member-led marketing collective representing a curated group of owner-operated, trade-ready tourism businesses across Aotearoa.

Together, we promote authentic, high-quality experiences to both international travel trade and independent travellers, while representing the interests of boutique operators within the wider tourism industry.

Boutique Travel NZ was formed from the merger of two respected organisations — Green Journeys and Heritage Inns — building on more than 25 years of trusted reputation in the industry.

Membership Criteria

Quality Standards

Accommodation Members:
  • Boutique & Lodge (4–5 star)
  • Luxury Lodge
  • Bed & Breakfast (4–5 star)
  • Or equivalent standard recognised by the Board
Activity Members:
  • Qualmark accredited (Gold, Silver or Bronze)
  • Or equivalent recognised accreditation / industry standard

Trade Ready

  • Commissionable (minimum 20%)
  • No undercutting of agent rates
  • Targeting FIT travellers (not large group tourism)
  • Open to working with international agents and wholesalers
